Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Markdown Tidy (the "Service"), operated by SUDZY INC. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Markdown Tidy is a tool that cleans, repairs and converts Markdown into formats including PDF, DOCX, Google Doc, PNG and HTML, and provides related features. We may change, add or remove features over time.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping access to your account secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: violating any law or third-party rights; uploading unlawful, infringing or malicious content; attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or using it to generate or distribute prohibited content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, performing conversions and, for Premium features, saving and sharing documents at your direction). We do not claim ownership of your content.

5. Subscriptions, billing & renewal

The Service offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription priced at $5.00 per month (plus any applicable taxes, shown at checkout). Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the subscription fee to your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

6. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period and then does not renew; your account reverts to the free tier. Except where required by applicable law, fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.

7. Free tier and advertising

The free tier is supported by advertising. By using the free tier you acknowledge that ads may be displayed. Premium removes advertising.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that conversions will be error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SUDZY INC. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or comply with law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, US, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
