Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: May 20, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Markdown Tidy (the "Service"), operated by SUDZY INC. It covers what content and uses are allowed, the additional rules that apply to documents you choose to share publicly, and how to report abuse. It is part of, and read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. What you may not do with the Service
You agree not to use the Service to create, store, process, share, or distribute content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to harm or defraud others;
- infringes intellectual-property, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights;
- contains malware, exploit code, or instructions intended to enable malicious access to systems;
- depicts or promotes child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual sexual content;
- incites violence against, harasses, or targets individuals or groups based on protected characteristics;
- contains personal data of others used without lawful basis (doxxing);
- is used to send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk communications;
- circumvents security or rate-limiting controls; or
- uses the Service in violation of applicable laws or third-party terms (including the terms of services we integrate with — for example, Google's APIs and policies).
2. Documents you choose to share publicly (Premium share)
Premium users can generate share links to their documents. Public and unlisted share pages are subject to additional rules:
- You are responsible for the content of documents you share. Sharing makes you the publisher of that content.
- The same prohibitions in §1 apply to shared content, and we treat shared pages as covered by this AUP.
- We may review, remove, disable, or restrict access to shared content that we believe violates this AUP, the Terms, or applicable law — with or without notice.
- Advertising on shared pages. We do not serve third-party advertising on individual Premium share pages by default. If we ever do, it will only be on content that has been reviewed and that we reasonably believe complies with this AUP and our advertising partners' policies. We will not show ads on screens without meaningful content, on tool-only/account-management pages, or on shared pages we have reason to believe are abusive or low-value.
3. Reporting abuse
If you believe a document, share page, or other Service content violates this AUP, please email support@sudzy.co with the subject "Abuse report" and the URL or identifier of the content. We aim to respond within a few business days.
For intellectual-property complaints (including DMCA-style notices for content hosted by us), include the work claimed to be infringed, the URL of the allegedly infringing content, your contact information, and a good-faith statement of authorisation. Send to the same address with the subject "IP complaint".
4. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in any of the following, at our discretion: removal or disablement of the offending content; revocation of share links; suspension of features; suspension or termination of accounts; and, where required by law, disclosure to authorities. We are not obliged to provide refunds for periods during which an account was suspended or terminated for an AUP violation.
5. Moderation approach
We rely on a combination of user reports, automated signals, and human review. We do not pre-moderate every shared document; we do investigate reports and proactively address known abuse patterns. If your shared content is removed and you believe the decision was wrong, you can appeal by replying to the removal notice.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
