This Privacy Policy explains how SUDZY INC. ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use Markdown Tidy (the "Service") at mdtidy.com. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Content you provide: the Markdown and documents you paste, upload or convert. This is processed to provide the conversion features. For free use this is processed in your browser and not stored on our servers; for signed-in Premium features such as saved history and sharing, content you choose to save is stored to provide those features.
• Account information: if you create an account, your email address and authentication data.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to Premium, payments are processed by Stripe; we receive subscription status and limited billing metadata but do not store full card details.
• Usage and device data: standard analytics such as pages viewed, features used, approximate location (country), browser and device type.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain and improve the Service and its conversion quality.
• To operate accounts, subscriptions, billing and support.
• To send transactional emails (for example sign-in, receipts, account notices).
• To measure usage, diagnose problems and improve features.
• To display advertising on the free tier and measure its performance.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the Service.

3. Third-party service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. Each processes data only as needed to provide its function:

• Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Neon — database hosting for accounts and saved content.
• Google Cloud / Google Drive API — file storage and the "export to Google Doc" feature.
• Stripe — payment processing for Premium subscriptions.
• Mailgun — delivery of transactional email.
• Google AdSense and Google Ads — advertising and advertising measurement on the free tier.

4. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember preferences, and for analytics and advertising.

Advertising: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Service and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

5. Legal bases

Where applicable law (for example the GDPR) requires it, we process personal data on the bases of contract performance (providing the Service you request), legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving the Service), consent (where required, for example for certain advertising), and legal obligation.

6. Data retention

We retain account and saved content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period unless a longer retention is required by law. Free-tier conversions are not retained on our servers.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and associated saved data, or request deletion, by contacting us at support@sudzy.co.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
